Water saving on farms

If a family of 6 people all brushed their teeth twice a day and left the tap running they would use 24 litres water which would nearly fill a water trough. A holding tank to have all the water from the kitchen sink, bathroom and laundry go into. A float inside that when the water level reaches it, sprinklers water the garden. This water is not to be used to feed live stock because of the soap scum.

Water saving tips

1. Never put water down the drain because there could be other uses for it such as watering the plants or the vegies.
2. keep a container of water in the fridge so that you won’t need to run the water down the sink until it’s cool enough to drink.

Your tips are very good, especially the one about the jug of water.
