Saving water.
To save water.
1. Put a tub in the sink then put boiling water in the tub and soap, so you don’t leave the tap on
it when you are washing your hands.
2. Have the pipe into a tank with a tap so you can water your garden & save water.
3. All of you if you have a bath all use the same water.
4. If your kids have a toy pool, when they finish you can put it on the garden you can also use it for the animals.
5. When it rains you could put a tank below the rain pipe & the water that you catch you can water your animals.
6. When you paint use a glass and when you finish you can pour it on your plants to water them.
7. When your sink is leaking you can put a tub under it to catch the water.

Very good ideas Sarah and Rebekah. At my house we put a basin in the bottom of the shower when we have a shower so that the extra water collected can be used to water our vegie garden.

Hi Georgie,
Our school is between Buckland and Oatlands in the midlands. We are a farming district and our school only has 22 students. 8 of them are 4th generation from 1860 when the area was first settled. Our school is on tank water as well, so we have to be carefull here as well as home.

Hi Levendale Iam one of Georgies good friends Bridget and i am in her class here in Brisbane we really have to save water because if we don't the wivenhoe dam will loose all it's water then what would we drink? so we do some simple routines such as most people in brissy have timers in there shower so that we can only have a 4 minute shower not and 8 minute shower that will save alot of water. and whaen we brush our teeth we keep the tap of so that we don't waste the water. This a water saving tip for you all for the washing machine and the dishwasher think about how many times you wash the dishes and wash the clothing and then take 1 load of every week that could save this much water 40,000 000 wow ! thats alot of water if you would like to visit my blog and leave a comment this the adress :www.bridgetsfolio.blogspot.com try to leave a comment so I can leave another one on yours thanks and have a great christmas happy holidays Bridget
